Importance of scholarships

We all are aware of the monetary value of scholarships and aside from that its pretty hard to see much of any other value. I can however see the pros to having one. In the long run this translates to you owing less money after you graduate which is obviously a huge benefit. Also this means that you can allow yourself a little leisure money for whatever you desire....so, that's nice.

REFLECTION

I have taken care of all of my responsibilities as it pertains to my admission into the university of my choice. I am where I need to be as far as academics are concerned. The colleges that I applied to were well suited for me in location and just in that they could provide, given that fact that I was granted acceptance into to all that I applied to. I am happy with my decision and believe that I will be able to transcend in such an environment.

College Degrees...INDIA

The college degree's value grows and exponential amount everyday. They are a confirmation that you are educated and able to practice in whatever field that you are entering. Aside from this you'll get paid even more money because you have a degree in that field. i.e If you have two police officers on the same level, working for the same area and bla bla bla, and one has a degree and the other is without....The man with the degree is going to be paid an exponentially greater amount of money simply because he has a piece of paper confirming that he participated in getting a higher education and all of the time, sweat and sleepless nights that he endured to attain such a highly esteemed state.

In comparison to the education system in India...They are not as successful in their attempts with education simply because they are not as privileged as us. Many of the children need to work to live and for this reason they cannot enforce "necessary" education. In addition to this, 25% of the teachers don't show up on a regular basis so there in lies another problem. with all of this information i have come to the much agreed upon conclusion that  our education sys/ is far more advanced and therefore better.

Therefore i will probably spend a lot of time in a closet. ...crying. .....

Friday

FuTst influential leader in myhelping e would have to be Christ. Everything He did in Hiwithout practiceown here on earth was for the bettering of others. He lived everyday to the fullest. Played no games. People spit on His face, called Him crazy and "punished" Him for his beliefs. The story really is beautiful. People these days are ready to fight if you accidentally step on their Jordans. Oh, and don't even try talking about them behind their back, who knows what they'll do. Christ really got "it" doing all things good, all the time. I mean the things that he endured, a regular person would presume He would have to be crazy to forgive those people and keep it moving but nevertheless He kept it moving.
We are not robots, we are humans, very dynamic creatures. We don't simply think and do we have  feelings and emotions. We see, we feel, we are able to think and make decisions on our own, free moral agents thus setting us apart from the other creatures of this land, that is what ultimately makes us different. I do believe that those are the things that we live for, it is proven, in some very extreme examples but yes we live for beauty, romance and love. These are the things in life that give us that, highly aspired, fulfillment in life. Thus why someone could have their dream job and have all the material things in this world that they want and after the newness and excitement is gone the feeling of emptiness creeps in....and then all the sudden they fall in love and they are just on top of the world. We thrive on love, beauty and romance as humans. If this weren't so vanity and the appreciation of beauty would seize to fascinate us. As far as the second question goes I have no theory as to why people still entertain themselves with poetry. I believe that maybe were i to participate in such readings I would have a say one way or the other and for my ignorance on the subject at hand I apologize.
I agree with him wholeheartedly. My mother has always taught me that perspective is everything. when you learn to look at things from different perspectives you can further understand everything. It brings a new light to everything and you can further understand. It is also one of the keys to getting further in life.  I think a  great example was last week. When our teacher came to us to express her feelings of hurtful bombardment and very few were able to see that for what it truely was due to THEIR own feelings. They simply saw it as a personal problem and initially refused to see it any other way. Everyone was so upset because they were only looking through their own eyes. We eventually tied that knot and moved on to another but I doubt that many in that room on thursday understood consciously that by the end of the class They had participated in looking at a different perspective or point of view
"the most useful asset of a person is not a head full of knowledge but a heart full of love, with ears open to listen, and hands willing to help" I Strive to live this every day helping whoever I can and loving every one. I believe these things are very important in the world that we live in I think a lot of it is dying off. These traits aren't exactly the easiest to follow and if I could be that bright light for someone, if I can make someones day that makes me happy and that makes them happy and I believe that those are all great things that you never die no matter what. to love everyone is the most important one to me. I think that love is the reason why great things happen, I mean yes there are a few crazy people out there who don't really understand love or use it as an excuse to do heinous crimes, but I believe that love makes the world go around and love is why people is so awesome to each other. I really believe love is a cure all and what kind of person would I be if I said that without practice?

Thursday 😉

Mr. Keaton can not be blamed for Neil's decision to end his life. Mr. Keaton only helped Neil to emphasize how crappy Neil's life was indirectly through lessons. Even that however is debatable. Suicide is a choice that one man makes for himself, as is smoking, sleeping around or making all A's. NO ONE can take responsibility for that death. I believe that anyone who would commit such an action, at such a young age, already had it in him.
The bravest of the boys, I believe was Neil, he pushed through and made some really bold decisions to get what he wanted and he reached them, not long term but he did enjoy a rather short lived victory. Funny thing is that i also think he was the coward in it all. Yes, he pushed hard but after he had been shot down by his father, he saw no way out to live his dreams and he made the decision to end it all. Kudos (I think that is how you spell it) to him though, he had quite the dramatic exit.
I do not recall this part of the movie however I will say that sometimes adults and people in general when wanting to urge someone to do something. that may not be supported by others, they do little things. Little things like looking the other way or tell you things without "telling you." It is simply a method of doing things without getting your hands dirty.

Central THEME!!!!

A theme that stood out to me kind of goes long with a quote from Dr. Seuss " Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind" Throughout this film Mr. Keaton is pushing the boys to be themselves and all of them selves. A perfect example would be in the scene placed in the classroom when Todd was put in front of the class to present his original poetry. He was very shy, almost to the point of a meltdown but Mr. Keaton told him to disregard the stares, laughing and ridicule. In the end it made them all better....well all but Neil. Knox doesn't care how the people in the class laughed at him when he read his poem, he continued and kept the goal in mind. And Charlie, the boys thought his nickname was ridiculous but he didn't care because that is what he wanted and so he sought after it wholeheartedly. In the end these boys got the message loud and clear.
